|"Mr. Ricks" is how Sandra, my wife, and I, and our boys, Malcus and Jahson, knew him. Mr
Ricks was our boys elementary Physical Education teacher and had a heart of 'Gold'. He was
like a 'gentle giant' to the students who always seemed to enjoy being around him and he with
the students. He was friendly and always stretching his hand forth to greet with a hand-shake
and hug. He had a great personality that was warm, but assertive which was a perfect
combination for the students. He continued to encourage them to as far as their capabilities
allowed. He will be greatly missed, but we are glad that our paths crossed on our journeys.
