It's hard to put into words the impact that one person can have on a child and reflected in the
community. I have first hand knowledge because our 2 sons, Malcus and Jahson, participated
in summer tennis camp for multiple years at the Donald Van Blake Tennis Courts in Plainfield,
NJ. Although Mr. Van Blake was in his later years when our boys started camp, it was not
unusual to see Mr. Van Blake drop by the tennis courts to observe the growth of the young
summer campers. As the years rolled by, it became a privilege to see Mr. Van Blake at the
tennis courts and even more inspiring to see him at the annual tennis court events. His impact
is immeasurable. Mr. Van Blake you will be missed and remembered. -- Michael Clarke
