Initiation ~ Anointment ~ Baptism
Rastafarianism = Rastafari : as the subject Ism : as the object
One of the objectives of Rastafarianism is to preach the divinity of Rastafari = Haile Selassie I as the 225th rebirth of King Solomon, son of David as "The Christ", "The Messiah", "The Anointed One". Representing Yahweh Elohim Sabboath; the God of all ages Great David Greater Son.
The Anointment of David by the Prophet Samuel
(Samuel 16v3): "Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethrens and the spirit of Elohim came upon David from that day forward."
The spirit that came upon David represent the "Word", the indwelling speech identified by (St. John 1v1-14) adn the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his Glory of the only begotten of the Father.
The Ancient Rites of Anointment represents the divine entry point of the indwelling speech. "The Word: Sound: Energy invisible to man made visible through the Son of man 'David'.
(1 John 5v7): "For there are three that bear record in heaven, Zion; the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one."
The creation of the earth and the fullness thereof is Jah's handiwork. He is the Ruler of the Universe and the creator of Angels, Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
(Isaiah 9v6): "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace."
Haile Selassie I, the Elohim, who is a good Counsellor, in his goodness as a Father, he forgives, he protects and feeds his children, as Elohim he judges, he is no respecter of persons, but pays everyone according to their work. Rastafari's main belief that the individual human soul is propagated from the father's seed and the mother's blood along with the body at conception. Jah created Adam and Eve and gave them a command to multiply. The soul and body are transmitted to child from parents, there is no separation of soul according to:
(Genesis 2v2): "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."
Jah rested on the seventh day after all the work he had been doing. There is no further creative act by Jah dealing with the creation of a soul.
