Introduction
|
What a blessing it has been to compile this book of meditations for and from my sisters!
I have had the honor and privilege of working with and knowing some powerful, beautiful, spirit-filled, soulful African American women. Maya Angelou, in one of her poems, calls us "phenomenal," and I must agree. Something wonderful is happening around the nation and around the globe as sisters are beginning to care for and be concerned about one another with a remarkable vigor and renewed vitality and commitment I have not witnessed since my teenage years.
