Nyahbinghi - the oldest of all Rastafarian orders. The name is derived from Queen Nyahbinghi who ruled Uganda in
the 19th century and fought against the British Empire. They were the first to proclaim Emperor Haile Selassie as the
incarnation of the supreme deity. The Nyahbinghi pushed for repatriation to Ethiopia.

HAILE SELASSIE IS NOT PART OF A SECRET SOCIETY OR HEAD OF THE NYABINGHI ORDER: This lie was devised by Italian
Fascists who was slandering the Emperor to justify their war against Ethiopia. The original Italian propaganda articles about the
Nyahbinghi were published by Federico Philos, in the Austrian Neues Wiener Tagblatt on 17th and 24th August 1935, they were
translated in the Jamaica Times on 7th December 1935 and then somehow was adopted by certain Rastas. The two articles,
"Secret Society of the Blacks" and "Conspiracy of the Negroes", depicted Haile Selassie I as dangerous and unsuitable for office.
This was done to discredit him and overthrow him, there is no factual evidence that the Emperor has any affiliation with the
aboriginal Nyahbinghi belief or resistance movement.

NAZI Fredrico Philos (to create an alliance between the 'Africans' and the 'Communists'), published in the Austrian Newspaper
'Neues Wiener Tageblait', on 17th August 1935:

As mentioned above, Russia was the only state, which was friendly towards the Pan-African Congress. The negro delegates were
very warmly welcomed and treated by the Russian government courteously. They were invited to banquets, and great gratitude
was shown in every aspect. In any case, it is strange, and it does not lack a certain ambition that Russia has made the congress
possible, which could have serious consequences for Europe. The Negus Haile Selassie was unanimously declared at the congress
as an absolute ruler of the Nha-Binghi. He took the functions and vowed to free the negroes of the world. He swore the war against
the Europeans, as he expressed himself (1930) 'Death to the oppressor of the black race'."
When this article appeared in Jamaica in 1930's, the slander against the Emperor was accepted when it should have been rejected.
Nyabinghi has no correlation with the teachings of Christ which is the only dogma that His Majesty said he follows. Haile Selassie I
also could not part be part of any secret society because secret societies are forbidden under Articles 467, 477, & 478 of the Penal
Code.
