We give Che Guevara credit for his contribution to the African struggle for freedom. In 1965, Che
fought on the African continent as a freedom fighter, fighting on behalf of our African brothers and
sisters in the Belgian Congo (note: subsequently Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo).
Although Che did not die in Africa, following is a letter he wrote to his children in the event he did not
return from the African conflict.
