Decoction:
Simmer the herbs and water (ratio will depend on

depends on the herb). Use immediately.
Infused Oil:

oil) and bake in the oven at about 200°F until the
herbs are crisp. Strain and store.
Tea (Infusion):
1oz dried herb : 1pt of water. Pour boiling water
over herbs. Let seep for 15-20 minutes. Use
immediately.
Liniment:
4oz herbs : 1pt vodka (or vinegar). Mix and keep
in a dark area for 14 days (3-7 if you need it
sooner). Shake daily. Strain and store.
Plaster:
Moisten herb with water and place on linen and
apply to the skin. Cover it with another piece of
linen to keep moist.
Poultice:
Pulverize fresh herb and apply directly to the skin.
It can be covered to hold it in place.

Heat 1pt of the infused oil. Add 1oz of beeswax.
Pour into a container to let dry.
Syrup:
2oz dried herb : 1qt water. Let simmer until
volume is reduced by half. Strain and add 2-4 oz
of honey (or glycerine).
Tincture:
4oz dried herb : 1 pt 60 proof alcohol (or raw
apple cider vinegar). Put the herbs in the bottle of
alcohol (or vinegar). Let stand for 14 days. Shake
twice daily. Strain and store. Dropper lids are a
good idea.
... try to store things in a dark colored bottle. Also, used the English
Measuring System NOT metric. So some people may need to
convert the units. Pt=Pint, oz = ounce, qt = quart. Also : implies
ratio. I tried to make it so that vegans can make things without
using animal products and people under 21 can make these if they
have no access to alcohol.
